When I was about 12 or so I was hanging out at a friend’s house, wasting the day away listening to Dark Side Of The Moon . His sister deigned to speak to me at one point and asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Quick as a flash I replied that I wanted to be a guitar teacher. Unlike a lot of guitar teachers I don’t see my teaching as a crutch to prop up a failing music career, I actually like it. I’m not one of these teachers who cancels at the last minute because I have a gig, or just shows off while you sit there, I start and finish on time. (I’m not one of those ‘stoned out of their brains and can’t string a sentence together’ wasted musician types either.) I have invested heavily in my recording studio, creating an environment appropriate for learning the instrument and I treat it as a business and a passion.

All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.’
